This is a series of educational workshops aimed at empowering homeowners throughout their home insurance, maintenance, claims, and repair process/es. Each of these workshops is designed to be a stand alone module, and as a whole try to represent the insurance policy, maintenance, and claim cycle. You do not need to attend all three classes but it is designed as a before (you purchase), during (while owning your home), and after (an unexpected event) series.

During (while owning your home): Care and Feeding of Your Home Exterior – Owning your own home can be a lot to bite off for many people, and while this hour long workshop certainly only touches the tip of the iceberg, we hope to outline some of the most common areas of wear and tear to the exterior of your home that can prevent (or minimize) larger damage issues that are either excluded or not covered by homeowners insurance. We also will discuss some of the areas (with photos) where we see homeowners think that there has been weather/storm related damage but the damage is actually the result of other issues (maintenance, improper installation, product warranty).
